Today, October 16 marks World Spine Day (WSD). The theme for 2019 is Get Spine Active! Each year the focus of WSD is raising awareness of back pain and other spinal issues. With health professionals, exercise and rehabilitation experts, public health advocates and patients all taking part, #GetSpineActive will be celebrated on every continent.
Being active can take many forms, not simple doing sport and exercise. Getting Spine Active can range from taking regular breaks at work to aquarobics for the elderly to doing the Straighten Up exercise routine. Everyone, regardless of age or ability can Get Spine Active.
