The long-awaited second COVID-19 recovery package was signed into law December 27, 2020 and includes a second and more targeted round of PPP funding for small businesses. The new law also makes several business-friendly tax changes and extends some of the tax credits from the first recovery package. September welcomes National Drug-Free Pain Management Awareness Month. The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress has put together a full-scale marketing plan to effectively market drug-free chiropractic care as a safe, effective, first-line approach to manage pain. Resources include ready-to-share social media postings and infographics, proclamation requests and instructions on how to implement these tools in your local community. Your ability to market chiropractic at the ground-level will help to generate increased public education and utilization of chiropractic care as the primary option to manage pain prior to utilization of prescription and over-the-counter pain relievers.
San Jose, CA. – August 5, 2020 – The majority of Americans in Generation Z, ages 18 to 24, reported they first experienced chronic neck, shoulder or back pain when they were younger than age 16, according to survey results released today from the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the value of chiropractic care. Results also show Americans ages 18 to 24 embrace non-conventional pain management methods based on perceived effectiveness over cost and convenience.

Maintaining signed copies in your patient files is just one additional step you take as a safety precaution against the spread of COVID in your office.
It has been many years since the FCA By-Laws were thoroughly reviewed. The By-Laws Committee worked with the FCA Board of Directors, staff and Counsel to update them, making them more reflective of the way that business is conducted in modern times. These proposed updated By-Laws are posted here for member access. The changes will be considered for final adoption by the FCA Board of Directors at its upcoming July 16th meeting.

People with chronic back and neck pain who receive chiropractic care may be less likely to use opioid painkillers, a research review suggests.
