FCA Members Convene for Chiropractic Day at the Capitol

80 FCA members, including a student contingent of 12 from Palmer Florida, gathered Tuesday morning to meet with Florida legislators about issues of importance to chiropractic.  They met with the FCA lobby team for a breakfast update on current issues and boarded a bus to the Capitol for individual meetings with their constituent legislators throughout the day. A lunch on the 22nd floor of the Capitol featured greetings from legislators and more legislators greeted DCs and students in an afternoon meeting, held in the Senate chamber.

“This annual face time with legislators is so important to our lobby effort,” said FCA President Michael Roberts, D.C.  “It is critical for those who make decisions affecting our profession to meet and know DCs in their communities back home and they need to hear the latest on chiropractic issues from their constituents.  And it’s a win for this profession every time we can create this opportunity for FCA members.”

The FCA Chiropractic Day at the Capitol takes place annually and is a critical part of the lobby effort.  We salute all who took time from their practices and their studies to advance their profession.  View pre-session talking points here.
