FCA Member Contingent Brings a Chiropractic Message to The Capitol
By the FCA
Tuesday, 10 January 2017
60 FCA members gathered this morning to receive an update on chiropractic issues before meeting throughout the day with Florida legislators about issues of importance to chiropractic.
They met with the FCA lobby team for a breakfast update and boarded a bus to the Capitol for individual meetings with their constituent legislators. A mid-day lunch on the 22nd floor of the Capitol featured greetings from legislators and more legislators greeted DCs and students in an afternoon meeting, held in the Senate chamber.
It is critical for those who make decisions affecting our profession to meet and know DCs in their communities back home, and they need to hear the latest on chiropractic issues directly from their constituents. And it's a win for this profession every time we can create this opportunity for FCA members. Constituent DCs and students reminded legislators that chiropractic physicians are primary diagnosing and treating physicians and that some states are correctly encouraging the deployment of conservative care first in their health care paradigm, for better patient outcomes and substantial cost savings.
The FCA Chiropractic Day at the Capitol takes place annually and is a critical part of the lobby effort. We salute all who took time from their practices and their studies to advance their profession! View the day's talking points on the FCA website.
