Reminder - PIP Class Action Settlement Funds Available from Nationwide and Titan

You could be owed money from Nationwide or Titan or Victoria Select Insurance Companies if you were paid less than the amount billed between January 1, 2008 and July 23, 2012 (12/31/14 for Titan and Victoria) or if you contend the Carrier(s) miscalculated the deductible on your medical charges.  Read further to learn how to submit a claim and to learn how I can recover settlement funds for you at no cost.

Reminder re Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield New Requirements for 2015

Just another reminder:  Infinedi EDI recently provided a well-stated reminder of new claim requirements noticed by Florida Blue Cross and Blue Shield to providers in November of 2014. The new requirements are for claims with dates of service on or after January 1, 2015.  The reminder reiterates that new requirements will impact secondary claims and any claim that contains an accident diagnosis (such as any ICD-9 code in the 800 series).

PIP Update: Miami-Dade County Court Finds EMC/DC Provision Unconstitutional

Last week, a Miami-Dade County Court Judge (Judge Michaelle Gonzalez-Paulson), held that the PIP provision precluding a chiropractic physician from not being able to make an EMC determination, violated the equal protection and due process clauses of the Florida Constitution. Continue reading to access the judge's decision.
