You are no doubt aware from reading your local paper that the House and Senate leadership focused primarily on a few major issues and that the closing weeks saw many bills die due to last-minute disunity between the Governor and House and Senate leadership on major issues like lobbying reform, Medicaid reform, growth management and budgetary issues. Health care legislation, in general, ranked low on the priority list and, as a result, very few health care bills passed.

IMPAIRED PRACTITIONERS LICENSE SUSPENSIONS. SB 366 by Senator Durell Peaden (R-Crestview) [Companion: HB 25 by Rep.Aaron Bean (R-Fernandina Beach)]. SB 366 authorizes licensing boards to suspend licenses of impaired health care providers who break a PRN (Physicians' Resource Network) contract.
