Florida Workers' Comp and ICD-10: October 1 Implementation

On October 1, 2015 the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be transitioning to ICD-10 (diagnosis coding).  In line with the CMS policy, the Division of Workers' Compensation will require ICD-10 codes for medical bills and medical EDI transactions containing dates of service on or after 10/1/15.  The Division will require ICD-9 codes on medical bills and medical EDI transactions with dates of service prior to 10/1/15.

ACA Responds on New Medicare Legislation and Meaning of PIMA Provisions

A Form to Help Non-Medicare Patients Understand Their Financial Responsibility

A new form advising non-Medicare patients of their financial responsibility is now available for download from this site. The difficulty of determining health insurance reimbursement frustrates patients, because they don’t know what the patient’s costs will be before treatment. The form is entitled “Advanced Notice and Agreement of Patient Financial Responsibility.”
