What do you do when a patient misses an appointment?  Do you simply continue on with your day and hope the patient will call to reschedule when they have time? Or, do you have a system in place to reach out to and reschedule that patient?Implementing a recall program gives you this system and opportunity, and helps to prevent patients from falling out of care.

The Key to Increasing and Maintaining Volume is Proper Scheduling.
 
Proper scheduling and prescheduling are the key components to a successful practice. Each practice should have a scheduling guideline for each doctor and provider. The success comes in training the staff to adhere to these guidelines and adhere to the protocol and procedures.

CMS Releases Video on Improving Chiropractic Documentation in Medicare

January 1, 2016 is the first phase of the educational and training programs to be released by CMS. The Provider Compliance Group (PCG) at the centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) developed an educational tool in the form of a public video, titled "Improving the Documentation of Chiropractic Services."

Florida Workers' Comp and ICD-10: October 1 Implementation

On October 1, 2015 the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be transitioning to ICD-10 (diagnosis coding).  In line with the CMS policy, the Division of Workers' Compensation will require ICD-10 codes for medical bills and medical EDI transactions containing dates of service on or after 10/1/15.  The Division will require ICD-9 codes on medical bills and medical EDI transactions with dates of service prior to 10/1/15.
